[Important Notice]
Effective from October 11, 2022, based on the new border measures, prescribed applications in the Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System (ERFS) is no longer required.
In addition, the measure to limit the entry of foreign tourists to those on package tours will be lifted at the same time.

As border measures against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the visa waiver measures for general passport holders from the 68 countries/regions listed in the link below are currently temporarily suspended.

The above visa waiver measures are scheduled to resume from 0:00 am (JST) on October 11, 2022.
Please note that a visa is still required to enter Japan from countries/regions that are not subject to visa waiver.
The following items are required before entering Japan.

VISA (Not all participants from overseas are eligible)
To enter Japan from countries/regions not subject to visa exemption, you will need to obtain an entry visa.

Please note:
If your visa application appointment at the nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate General is scheduled before October 11, you need ERFS, please contact the 22nd IUNS-ICN Visa Support Office immediately.
Return to your home country
As the measures for returning to your country/economy from Japan, please check your country/economy’s updated information.
PCR testing may be required before leaving Japan. It is strongly recommended to check the regulations in your country.
Visa Support for 22nd IUNS-ICN
As mentioned above, participants from countries/regions not subject to visa exemption, need to obtain an entry visa to Japan.
1. Conditions for eligibility for visa support
The 22nd IUNS-ICN Organizing Committee will provide visa support documents to only the participants who have completed registration and payment of all fees.
Visa support for the accompanying persons is also available. Applicant must register and make a payment for the accompanying persons through your registration account.
2. Number of days of stay to be supported
A maximum of 14 days between November 29、2022 and December 18, 2022
(14 days are including arrival and departure days (2 days) and the period of the 22nd IUNS-ICN Conference (6 days)).
3. How to apply for visa support
If you meet all of the above requirements and wish to travel to Japan, please click the "Visa Support Application" button on the My Page of your registered account and fill out the form.
Note:
You are required to upload a copy of your passport in the Visa Support Application.
Please be sure the following when you are uploading a copy of your passport.
* A copy of the page with the photo is uploaded.
* Your passport is valid.
* Passport must be of the nationality indicated on the visa support application.
* If you are also applying for a visa for accompanying persons, you must also upload a copy of their passport.
Process after submitting Visa Support Application form
22nd IUNS-ICN Visa Support Office will send you the necessary documents for your visa application.
Please apply for a visa at the nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate-General with the documents we sent you and the documents you need to prepare on your own.
Please note that the 22nd IUNS-ICN Organizing Committee will issue visa support documents, but this does not guarantee you will obtain a visa.
