Award
Awards are offered to registered participants in the 22nd IUNS-ICN International Congress of Nutrition (22nd IUNS-ICN). Please see below for further details for eligibility criteria and necessary document for each award.

Note: Award type will be decided by award selection committee, presenter cannot choose the specific award at the time of application.
1. Young Investigator Excellent Abstract Award
Young Investigator Excellent Abstract Awards are offered to young scientists who will be presenting at the 22nd IUNS-ICN. The registration fee of awardee will be refunded after the congress.
< Eligibility criteria >
- Applicants must be 40 years old or younger as of
September 13, 2021December 5, 2022. - Applicants must submit an abstract as a presenter to the congress.
- The registration fee will be refunded after the congress and not in advance.

2. Excellent Abstract Award from Overseas
Excellent Abstract Awards from Overseas are offered to the person from overseas who will be presenting at the 22nd IUNS-ICN. The registration fee of awardee will be refunded after the congress.
< Eligibility criteria >
- Applicants residing abroad only. The participants from the country listed below will be prioritized.
- Applicants must submit an abstract as a presenter to the congress.
- The registration fee will be refunded after the congress and not in advance.

3. Travel Award for Young Investigator
Travel Awards for Young Investigator are offered to young scientists from overseas, who will be presenting at the 22nd IUNS-ICN. The grant will be given in Japanese yen after the congress, and the registration fee will be also refunded.

- Applicants must be 40 years old or younger as of
September 13, 2021December 5, 2022. - Applicants residing abroad only
- Applicants must submit an abstract as a presenter to the congress.
- Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from their supervisor or department head.
- Travel grant will be given to recipients after the congress and not in advance.

- (Document C) Recommendation letter (one page) from the applicant's current or former supervisor or department head
4. Travel Award
Travel Awards are offered to the person from overseas who will be presenting at the 22nd IUNS-ICN. The grant will be given in Japanese yen after the congress, and the registration fee will be also refunded.

- Applicants residing abroad only. The participants from the country listed below will be prioritized.
- Applicants must submit an abstract as a presenter to the congress.
- Applicants must submit a self-recommendation letter.
- Travel grant will be given to recipients after the congress and not in advance.

5. Urakami Foundation Travel Award
Urakami Foundation Travel Awards are offered to the young scientists from overseas who will be presenting at the 22nd IUNS-ICN. This Award is funded by the donation of Urakami Foundation.

- Applicants must be 40 years old or younger as of
September 13, 2021December 5, 2022. - Applicants residing abroad only
- Applicants must submit an abstract as a presenter to the congress.
- Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from their supervisor or department head.
- Travel grant will be given to recipients after the congress and not in advance.

6. IUNS Early Career Travel Grants
The International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS) is sponsoring travel to the at the 22nd IUNS-ICN. A limited number of travel grants is available for early career scientists (within 10 years of graduation from university).
< Eligibility criteria >
- The applicant must be within 10 years of graduation from university.
- Applicant must submit an abstract and receive the approval from the ICN-IUNS Executive Board for oral or poster presentation.
- Applicant must submit supporting letter from the applicant’s IUNS adhering body, university or research centre.

- (Document A) Copy of your photo ID that shows your education status for graduate student
- (Document B) Copy of your certificate of graduation for the applicant within 10 years of graduation from university
- (Document E) Supporting letter from the applicant’s IUNS adhering body, university or research centre.
7. Poster Award
To encourage the promising young researchers, Poster Awards are offered to poster presenters in the 22nd IUNS-ICN.
< Eligibility criteria >
- Graduate students who intend to continue their research to earn a master/doctoral degree.
- Applicants must submit an abstract as a poster presenter to the congress.
